So I bought a used flashpak from a member of this sight and was excited about great things to come. As most know, you can reset your vehicle to stock after use and then resell the computer to someone else. This is so one person doesn't buy it then pass it on to neighbors, friends, etc. And the company loses deserved revenue. I totally understand and agree with this. However, setting it to stock does not set it to stock. Yup, that's right.

The seller assured me he set to stock before selling Jeep. I bought it and tried to use it. It said that it was locked to VIN. I called Superchips and told them of problem. Some guy (Jeff I think) thought it was funny that I was 'out of luck'.

He said I could pay $100 for him to unlock it though. Called seller to confirm it was set to stock. He again said it was.

Asked him to call Superchips to give details and VIN and such. He was told that setting it back to stock does not set it to stock if you changed anything else. In this case tire diameter. We both thought as the directions imply that setting to stock would, I don't know, set it to stock. Basically my gripe is myself and seller did what we were told to do per instructions and when it did not do as it was supposed to do, I get laughing from a customer service rep and a trip to UPS.

Luckily the Jeep is still on the lot he sold it to and hopefully this is resolved. End rant: Customer service is dead in USA Ignore their directions and call manufacturers directly.

Hopefully for his own sake, laughing boy is high up or related to owner. I own my own company and if I caught a CSR laughing at a customer, it would be an ass out the door without unemployment benefit rights due to incompetence. This is by no means a testament to their product. Pdf to excel 31 serial key free Hopefully it's as good as I hear. I just don't like being laughed at by somebody I don't know when it's their directions that are crap.

Improved Fuel Efficiency. In today's market with soaring fuel prices, a Superchips remap can mean improved fuel economy as well as improved performance - worth a free tank of fuel or more over the course of a year. Set to Stock Y/N???????????? Doesn't that mean set to stock? I was approached unprompted by Superchips to do some testing before the thing came out late '08. Was told they needed people for testing.blah blah. Heard from them SEVERAL times TOTALLY unprompted. I encouraged them to come join the site to get more feedback, which they did. I ended up not hearing from them and suddenly the product was everywhere.

I have no respect for them. I'll not buy a thing from them. I did inquire once and was returned a pretty rude PM so I just forgot about it. They can suck nuts.

Seems to me, if they know you bought it legit, it wouldn't be a problem. I had a Diablo Sport Predator from Granetelli and they were vary gracious the entire time. Even told me if I ever sold the programmer and the new owner had problems they would take care of it. There's no excuse for poor customer service. Ran into this issue as well, Atljk a great member.sold me a superchips and he talked to Superchips to ensure that setting his JK back to stock would make the superchips work on my vehicle.

Was not the case when I received the programmer. I got VIN lock called up Superchips $100.00 Atljk called up Superchips and talked with Courtney at Superchips and she told him as long as he fax her over the receipt from his original purchase and the part # and serial # (which are on the tuner) she will unlock it for $29.95. It saved the headache of shipping back across the border.

Atljk covered the $29.95 Maybe this will help you out! Can you imagine how many calls they get about this, and how many of them are frauds? You know how many guys have Granatelli Motorsports programmers on their Rustangs? I know a lot of the Rustang crowd around here because my old high school friend I who still keep in touch is one. They are always talking about how Granatelli seems to keep track of every serial number they sell and they always provide the best in customer service. Sounded stupid to me at first, until I got one for my Powerstroke. When I got ready to sell mine, I called my original salesman, who remembered who I was like two years after the sale AND offered any help to the prospective buyer. Although unlike the Stupidchips, my Granatelli went back TO stock everytime, no matter what I changed.

This is clearly something that THEY need to fix. Setting it back to stock, should BE just that. If it's not, it could be false advertisement. Poor planning at best.
